Edible and Medicinal Plant Walk

  • Sugarloaf Ridge State Park 2605 Adobe Canyon Road Kenwood, CA, 95452 United States (map)

Join me at Sugarloaf Park to learn about some of the edible and medicinal plants in Sonoma County. On this fun and easy hike we will learn plant identification, ethnobotany, a little bit of herbalism and maybe even a recipe or two! These seasonal walks will be different each time, with a focus on "who's growing".

$10 per person. Children 7 yrs and up welcome. Parking fees for the park may apply.

CLICK HERE to go to the Sugarloaf Park website, which includes a link to buy tickets.

NOTE: Gathering plants is prohibited in State Parks, so we will only be collecting memories. However, my hope is to educate and inspire you to go home to your own neighborhoods and open fields, where you will find many of the characters we learn about on our walk.

YOU MUST RSVP TO ATTEND. Use the form below to sign up and I'll answer your note with further details about what to bring, where to meet, etc.
